Umoja Extension 2

Umoja Extension 2 (UE2) covers 133 out of 321 Umoja processes (about 41%). UE2 significantly expands the core functionality of Umoja. It introduces new planning, execution and reporting capabilities, touches users who have so far used only self-service, and impacts multiple external user communities. 

Unearned finance revenue

Unearned finance revenue is the difference between: (a) the aggregate of the minimum lease payments under a finance lease from the standpoint of the lessor and any unguaranteed residual value accruing to the lessor; and (b) the present value of (a) above, at the interest rate implicit in the lease.

Unguaranteed residual value

Unguaranteed residual value is that portion of the residual value of the leased asset, the realization of which by the lessor is not assured or is guaranteed solely by a party related to the lessor.

Useful life

Useful life is either: (a) the period over which an asset is expected to be available for use by an entity; or (b) the number of production or similar units expected to be obtained from the asset by an entity.

Useful life of a lease

The estimated remaining period, from the beginning of the lease term, without limitation by the lease term, over which the economic benefits or service potential embodied in the asset are expected to be consumed by the entity.

Useful life of property, plant and equipment

Useful life of property, plant and equipment s either:
(a) the period of time over which an asset is expected to be used by the entity; or
(b) the number of production or similar units expected to be obtained from the asset by the entity.
