For the month of January 2018, the following ESS/MSS freeze schedule will be in effect:
Umoja will be undergoing monthly preventive maintenance on Saturday 6 January 2018, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm CET (9:00 am to 1:00 pm NY time). During this period, all Umoja Production Systems (SRM/ECC/Portal) and Umoja Manager and Employee Self Service functionality will be unavailable.

In a unique Go-Live Event on 6 September 2017, the UN bid farewell to Galileo and celebrated the migration to Umoja, which includes new functionality in inventory, property and fleet management for the UN. The global event was held in Gao, Mali, in the heart of West Africa, a regional base of MINUSMA, the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali.

UMOJA UNAVAILABLE DURING THE GALILEO TRANSITION
As previously announced, in an effort to finalize the transition of Galileo data, Umoja will be unavailable from Thursday 31 August 2017 at 00:00 CET until Monday 4 September 2017 at 23:59 CET (Wednesday 30 August 6:00 pm to Monday 4 September 5:59 pm NY Time) for a period of 5 days.
AnneMarie van den Berg is Director of Logistics Support Division, Department of Field Support. As the Logistics Process Owner, Ms. Van den Berg oversees the Galileo Decommissioning Project (GDP), which is Phase 1 of the Supply Chain Management functionality of Umoja Extension 2. The second and last Umoja Blackout in preparation for the Galileo Decommissioning Project (GDP) deployment, is almost here.
The blackout will be in effect from Thursday 31 August 2017 starting at 00:00 CET to Monday 4 September 2017 at 23:59 CET (Wednesday 30 August 6:00 pm to Monday 4 September 5:59 pm NY Time).
During the downtime, staff will not be able to perform transactions in any Umoja system (ECC, SRM, ESS/MSS, BW/BI HANA). Payroll will remain available to identified personnel.
