Maintenance Schedule and System Status

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

In an effort to ensure the highest performance levels, Umoja undergoes standard maintenance updates. To minimize user’s impact, the updates are scheduled during the most convenient hours.   

The downtime periods are required for:

  • Preventive maintenance
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises
    • To be used when strictly necessary
    • Staff will be notified in advance if the maintenance window needs to be applied

Planned maintenance periods:

  • Umoja production systems (ECC/ SRM/ Portal/ IDM/ Citrix/ PI/ BW/ BI) on the first Saturday of the month, for up to 12 hours
  • Supply Chain Planning Tool (SCPT) weekend maintenance:
    • 24hrs on 1-March, 31-May 2025  
    • 4 hrs every Saturday from 08:00 to 12:00 EST/EDT
  • Major maintenance window for up to 24 hours on the first weekends of May and November
  • Disaster Recovery exercises may require up to 16 hours for each failover/failback. DR exercise is planned in 2025.
  • Umoja Analytics (https://analytics.umoja.un.org)
    • 24 hours on 28-Feb, 23-May, 22-Aug, 21-Nov 2025 for quarterly updates.

During deployment periods, Cut-over exercises may require additional downtime.

All Umoja applications are available.

 

Upcoming planned maintenance outages

The following Umoja applications will be unavailable from Friday 05 September 10PM EDT to Saturday 06 September 2025 2PM EDT, due to essential maintenance activities.

  • All Umoja Mobile (Fiori) applications
  • Umoja Analytics applications
  • Umoja BPC applications (Financial Statements & Budget Formulation)

The Umoja Supply Change Planning Tool (SCPT) will be unavailable this Saturday, 06 September 2025 8:00 AM EDT to Sunday, 07 September 2025 8:00 AM EDT (i.e., Saturday, 06 September 2025 2:00 PM CEST to Sunday, 07 September 2025 2:00 PM CEST).
