KJSO: Supporting Umoja in the Field

Whether it be Baghdad, New York or Kuwait, Umoja is facilitating the United Nations transition into a new way of working. Since Umoja deployment in Peacekeeping Missions, DFS supported offices are using Umoja for their daily operations.  As is the case of KJSO (Kuwait Joint Support Office).

“So far, the Kuwait Joint Support Office has wholeheartedly adopted Umoja, and it has become a part of our everyday UN work life,” said a staff member from the KJSO Communications Team.

It is, however, extremely important to keep staff constantly informed of any and all changes that happen routinely to Umoja in order to ensure a smooth transition.

“One of KJSO’s main channels to keep staff updated is by posting all Umoja related news and materials on the website KJSO POINT, which all KJSO members have as their default Internet page.” said the staff member. “As Umoja is still fairly new, and changes in the ERP system are occasionally implemented along the way, KJSO has taken the initiative to always try to keep their staff appraised about these changes as wellas about any news or updates related to Umoja that may affect them or their client missions.”
