UMOJA (CITRIX) MAINTENANCE THIS SATURDAY 1 APRIL

As broadcasted by Unite Service Desk, the Umoja access layer (Citrix) will be undergoing monthly maintenance this Saturday 1 April 2017 between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm CET (2:00 am – 6:00 am NY time). As a result, all Umoja production applications: ECC, SRM BI and BPC will not be accessible during that period.

  • Users who regularly access Umoja Employee Self-Service via https://selfservice.umoja.un.org directly, will continue to have service without interruption.
  • Users that have VPN, VDI or in some cases direct network connections to the Umoja development, test or QA systems will be able to access Umoja non-production systems through those channels.

Please refer to the Umoja System Status page to view the maintenance plan and alerts.

NEED A ROLE?

Do you need to request a new role in Umoja? Take a look at the updated Need a Role? page in iSeek (former User Access Provisioning page) for detailed guidance on adding, editing or deleting roles. If you are a Staff Member, Supervisor/ Chief of Section, Security Liaison Officer or Functional Approver, you will find specific information and resources on the user access process. The “Need a role?” page is also easily accessible from the Umoja iSeek page.

PROGRAMMATIC AND DONOR REPORTING

The implementation of Umoja across the Secretariat, and the Business Intelligence it provides, has enabled significant progress in Programmatic Donor Reporting, allowing more sophisticated and visually dynamic reporting across the Organization. Up until now, donor reporting has been, for the most part, a manual process, and different UN entities have adhered to different standards in their reporting dimensions and criteria. Due to intensive efforts from OICT Enterprise Application Centre in Vienna (ECA-VN), OICT in New York and UNODC in Vienna, a new Programmatic and Donor Reporting dashboard is now available for UNODC projects.

Other UN offices and departments that utilize extra-budgetary funds and voluntary contributions are working closely with the OICT EAC-VN team in order to launch their own Programmatic and Donor Reporting dashboards as soon as possible this year, including DPA, OHCHR, UNCTAD, UNECE, UNEP, UN Habitat, UNMAS, ESCWA, ECLAC, ECA and ESCAP.

The dashboard depicts financial data from Umoja as well as programmatic, qualitative information for each project. The dashboard has already been launched at http://projects.un.org. Staff can login using their Unite Identity credentials.

Stay tuned for more updates and take a look at the Donor Reporting article in iSeek for more information.
