Processing and tracking of maintenance activities at the United Nations is now a lot easier, thanks to Umoja! The automation of Preventive Maintenance took a leap forward after a successful deployment across Secretariat entities and, more recently, at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON).
Each month during payroll processing, the Umoja system undergoes a temporary payroll “freeze” for each payroll area. Staff members are grouped into payroll areas to allow payroll to be processed by specific groups in an orderly fashion.
As part of the March payroll processing, specific Umoja Employee Self-Service functionalities will be unavailable during the dates listed below.

Umoja will be undergoing monthly preventive maintenance on Saturday 6 January 2018, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm CET (9:00 am to 1:00 pm NY time). During this period, all Umoja Production Systems (SRM/ECC/Portal) and Umoja Manager and Employee Self Service functionality will be unavailable.
