Maintenance Schedule and System Status

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

In an effort to ensure the highest performance levels, Umoja undergoes standard maintenance updates. To minimize user’s impact, the updates are scheduled during the most convenient hours.   

The downtime periods are required for:

  • Preventive maintenance
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises
    • To be used only if strictly necessary
    • Staff will be notified in advance if the maintenance window needs to be applied

Planned maintenance periods:

  • Transaction systems (ECC/ SRM/ Portal/ IDM/ Citrix/ PI) on the first Saturday of the month, for up to 12 hours from 08:00 to 20:00 CET
  • Business Intelligence
    • Every Saturday for up to 6 hours from 10:00 to 16:00 CET
    • Every Sunday for up to 4 hours from 18:00 to 22:00 CET
  • Major maintenance window for up to 48 hours on the first weekends of May and November
  • Disaster Recovery exercises may require up to 12 hours for each failover/failback 

During deployment periods, Cut-over exercises may require additional downtime.

Umoja System Status

Kindly note that Umoja will undergo preventive maintenance on Saturday, 6 March 2021 from 10:00 to 18:00 CST, to deliver performance and stability upgrades.

During this period, the following Umoja modules and applications will be unavailable:

  • BW/BI and HANA, including Business Intelligence (BI), Strategic Management (SMA), Budget Formulation (BPC), and Financial Statements (BPC).
  • All Umoja Mobile applications (https://mobile.umoja.un.org).
  • Implementing Partner Management (IP)
  • Transportation Management and Event Management (TM)

All other Umoja applications will remain available.
